About AgroClimate


AgroClimate is an innovative web-resource for decision-support and learning about the effects of weather and climate on agriculture. It provides interactive tools and climate information to improve resource use efficiency and to reduce crop production risk associated with climate variability and change.

AgroClimate was developed by the Southeast Climate Consortium (SECC) which was a coalition of eight universities: Florida State University, University of Florida, University of Miami, University of Georgia, Auburn University, North Carolina State University, Clemson University and University of Alabama-Huntsville. It is currently maintained and operated by the University of Florida Agricultural & Biological Engineering Department.

AgroClimate is regularly used during training events for County Extension faculty and during workshops with agricultural producers. Its modular platform allows for an easy replication in other geographies and for content expansion.

The Southeast Climate Consortium (SECC) is a collaboration of the University of Florida, Florida State University, University of Miami, University of Georgia, Auburn University, University of Alabama-Huntsville, Clemson University, and North Carolina State University funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).
